Australian Artist Vicki Ruschin, paints with vibrant colours. Her abstract canvases are definately influenced by her home land. Born in 1962 in Melbourne, Vicki is the middle child of 3 sibblings.  Growing up in Geelong, an hours drive from Melbourne. Because of her passion for art she left school in 1979 to persue her dreams. Living and working in Melbourne, during her lunch break she would stroll through the Oueen Victorian Market. One particular day she noticed a tall dark haired man jumping over his display tables, catching a thief. That Dutchman also caught Vicki's heart. The end of 1984 Vicki travelled to the Netherlands, in 1985 Vicki married her husband John. Vicki's second language became Dutch. Being in the Netherlands presented an opertunity for Vicki to attend the world renound college for Jewellers Gold and Silver smiths. Vicki started nightschool in 1987 the year her daughter Mandy was born, and she continued  nightschool through her second pregnancy giving birth to her son Tony who was born in 1989. Vicki completed her studies becoming a Jeweler/Goldmith in 1993. Having learnt 3 dimensional drawing, gave her the opertunity to design various art pieces from metal to canvas as well as murals. Her design 'Snake Valley' is an example of her Australian influence. Growing up amongst the most venemous  snakes in the world definately made an impact.  She really enjoys  painting new pieces, adding to Snake Valley's collection. In between painting  Vicki worked on a project, making the first tecnical drawings and descriptions enabeling applications  for patents.
